MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Oct. 30, Manchester police arrested 35-year-old Matthew Erwin for two counts of alleged first degree assault, following an investigation into an incident in July.

During that incident, police reports indicated that Erwin tried to stab a former roommate and also pointed a knife at the former roommate’s girlfriend.

This occurred while Erwin was trying to move items out of his former apartment.

Although Erwin initially called the police, claiming he had broken a window to enter the apartment, it was later determined that Erwin was the aggressor.

Erwin was released on personal recognizance bail. He will be in court on Nov. 14.

Anyone arrested is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
