Man allegedly threatens child with a hammer

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Enrique Castro, 45, of West Street in Manchester, was arrested on Tuesday evening on charges of alleged felony-level criminal threatening and simple assault.

Police were dispatched to Castro’s home after an altercation. Upon arrival, police found Castro involved in an altercation with a woman, with two children of unspecified ages trying to intervene.

Castro hit one of the children in the head and threatened to hit another with a hammer.

He was released on personal recognizance bail.

Anyone accused of a crime is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
