MANCHESTER, NH – The 2015 Manchester Christmas Parade presented by Cross Insurance and Intown Manchester will be held December 5 on Elm Street in Downtown Manchester. The parade begins at 4 p.m. and the route starts at 1750 Elm St. and ends at the intersection of Elm Street and Lake Avenue/Granite Street.
The theme for this year’s parade is ‘The Magic of Christmas!’ There’s no doubt that Christmas is a magical time, especially in Downtown Manchester. With the streets decorated, storefronts lit up, decked-out floats, and children eagerly awaiting Santa at the end of the parade, The Magic of Christmas will be unmistakable in Manchester this year.
“With the expansion of decorations in the Downtown, including Christmas trees at both 900 and 1000 Elm Streets, we know that it will be easy to kick-off the Christmas season during our parade on the 5th,” said Sara Beaudry, Executive Director for Intown Manchester. “We have about 80 participants in this year’s parade with plans for some of the coolest floats in recent memory.”
Grand Marshal will be Chief Nick Willard, from the Manchester Police Department. New Horizons for New Hampshire is the spotlighted charity of the parade. Autofair will be contributing the official VIP parade car to drive Chief Willard, as well as Mayor Ted Gatsas, along the parade route. WZID will be taking over as the hosts/MCs of the evening, and joining the festivities this year as parade media partner.
As with 2014, several Downtown businesses hosting open houses before, during, or after the parade. For more details about parade open houses please stay tuned to our website at www.intownmanchester.com.
