MANCHESTER, NH – Within weeks of her 13th birthday in 2013 Maggie Philbrook was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer. Maggie, who was a student at Hillside Middle School in Manchester, responded well to treatment, but just about a month and a half before the anticipated end of her chemotherapy, the cancer was discovered in her spine and the protective covering of her brain.  Just about one year after her diagnosis Maggie lost her fight on Feb. 2, 2014. She is greatly missed every day by her parents, brother, sister, many other family members and friends.

Screen Shot 2016-06-02 at 7.19.16 AMMaggie was a percussionist who said she liked “to play loud things.”  Through Maggie’s Beat, her supporters are keeping Maggie’s drum beats – and heart beats – alive.

In her honor and memory, everyone’s invited to Mag-A-Palooza 2016 on June 5 at Veterans Park in Manchester. The music festival meant to celebrate Maggie’s life and support those organizations that helped Maggie and her family in their time of need.

Tickets will be sold at the door or can be purchased at Pappy’s Pizza, payable with cash, checks [made out to Maggie’s Beat], credit cards, and PayPal.

Maggie’s Beat is proud to announce the music line-up for Mag-a-Palooza 2016:
