WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Southern New Hampshire University’s Kylie Lorenzen earned her second Northeast-10 Player of the Week award on Monday, due in large part to her role in SNHU’s 70-56 victory over the University of New Haven on Saturday.

Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) led all scorers with 25 points, going 10-for-18 from the field while also leading the Penmen with nine rebounds.

She scored five straight points early on to erase an initial New Haven lead, followed by a series lead swaps ending with a 33-27 SNHU advantage at the half.

The Penmen opened the second half with an 11-3 burst, enough to provide a healthy advantage for the rest of the contest despite a scare early in the fourth quarter.

SNHU has now won its last four straight, and they will seek their fifth in a row on Wednesday, Feb. 6 (5:30 p.m.) when they take on Saint Michael’s College
