When was the last time you looked at a milk carton or a picture at the grocery store advertising some missing child with an age progressive picture next to the last snapshot taken before he/she was lost?

The people who do this advertising are part of a group that wants to find all “missing” children. They were abducted or taken by an angry parent or relative during a contentious divorce or for other nefarious reasons. “If you have seen this child, call 1-800 XXX XXXX.”  Most of us scan and walk past it, or throw a flyer in the bin.

monicaThe love of a child and a parent is sacred. For every parent this book is a must read. You will look closely the next time you see a missing child staring back at you and wonder where he/she is. A silent prayer of hope will come to mind. You will thank God for the children under your care and watch.

The author delves into this dilemma through the eyes of a journalist. Every lead is worth investigating. Every person is suspect. Every chance to hug is a chance to say thank you to the universe for the connection that you do not want to be broken. There are chance encounters and a group of people that you might want to dislike. Hold on to your hats and be ready for the next change of heart.

In this book there are several ways of looking at everything and everyone. It is a guide for parents and a very clever “who duunnit” that is not expected. There are evil people, innocent people, caring people, and greedy people as well as a lot of deceiving people. WOW!

I began reading the book and then could not put it down. Thank goodness it was a rainy day with nothing expected of me but to finish the whole book in one read. You will love this book. You will be glad you have children. You will be glad there are thoughtful people all around but sometimes you have to look deep. There is also an element of journalistic pride and prejudice in this book.

New Hampshire people are going to be very happy when they go to their library and get this book. Take care, read a book, think of all the blessings surrounding you and smile. The librarian is waiting for you. Just show up and read!
