MANCHESTER, NH – We stopped by Cafe la Reine on Wednesday to see how the Adored mobile app works. Just as promised, the wireless beacon recognized that we were a participating customer and a mug of free coffee was served up with a smile.

Adored co-founders Cory von Wallenstein and Tim Thyne were also there, mostly to see whether customers were having a positive experience.

So far, so good, according to Marlana Carroll and Valerie Manha, who said they frequent Cafe la Reine several times a day, and are excited to have a local mobile app which offers instant and relevant rewards.

In the three days since introducing the app, von Wallenstein said he’s had interest from at least five local business owners, who happened to stop by Cafe la Reine for their morning coffee and were impressed by the concept.

“Response so far as been great,” says von Wallenstein, who left his day job as Chief Technologist for Dyn in August to focus his full-time efforts on rolling out Adored.

He’s looking forward to seeing how a technology that seamlessly connects consumers with local businesses can grow the local economy while boosting customer satisfaction.

The soft launch of the app will continue at Cafe la Reine this week culminating with a splash at the Palace Theatre this weekend. Patrons who take the Adored app for a spin on Oct. 24 or 25 at 7 p.m. will receive instant perks, as well as special on-the-spot offers with Adored partners Hooked & Ignite, The Shaskeen and Mint Bistro.
