MANCHESTER, NH – Fire Fighters from IAFF 856 on June 9 joined the kids at Wilson Street school painting a map of the United States on the playground. The International Association of Fire Fighters does events during the year, including the successful coat drive yearly providing hundreds of new winter coats to kids.

This week marks one year after two children from Wilson Street school perished in a fire, which killed four people. IAFF wanted to give back – but also wanted to remember the children who were lost in the fire. Members of Station 7, which were the first to arrive at the fatal fire, participated in the painting project.

The opportunity for the kids to meet firefighters and work with them, side by side, made some very special and happy moments.
