MANCHESTER, NH — Expect lane closures and some delays due to structural inspection of the Amoskeag Bride eastbound over the Merrimack River, and the Canal Street Ramp bridges next week. Work is scheduled from Monday August 5 through Friday August 9, 2019.
An under-bridge inspection vehicle will be utilized on the Amoskeag Bridge Eastbound which will require that the north or south lanes of the bridge be closed on Monday August 5 through Wednesday August 7, as needed, to complete the inspection. West Salmon Street over Canal Street/River Road will be closed and flaggers will be on Canal Street/River Road for a single lane closure for approximately one hour on Wednesday August 7 while that portion of the bridge above Canal Street/River Road is inspected.
Inspection of the Canal Street Ramp bridge will be performed from below the bridge deck utilizing a telescoping boom-lift on Thursday August 8 and Friday August 9. River Road/Canal Street traffic is not expected to be impacted during the ramp bridge inspection. The inspection and lane closure hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
