MANCHESTER, NH – New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief David J. Mara announce that a homicide investigation is ongoing in Manchester, New Hampshire.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. today, the Manchester Police Department responded to the area of 144 Lake Avenue in Manchester for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased adult male outside, with apparent gunshot wounds. An autopsy will be completed tomorrow to determine the deceased’s exact cause and manner of death. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The Manchester Police Department has identified all the involved parties in the shooting and is actively investigating the incident, including the potential of a self-defense claim.
