MANCHESTER, NH — The city’s Heritage Commission will meet Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. at City Hall in the third-floor conference room. Below is the posted agenda:

  1. Regulatory review of a building permit application in the Amoskeag Corporation Housing Historic District: The owner of 395 Canal Street (Gralan Property Group, LLC), is requesting continued design review for the conversion of the former Lafayette Club into a four-unit multifamily dwelling. The applicant is proposing extensive interior and exterior renovation with the intent of returning the building to a more historically appropriate aesthetic. Further Regulatory Board approvals will be required.
  2. Regulatory review of a building permit application in the Amoskeag Millyard Historic District: The tenant at 95 Eddy Road (Spectrum Marketing Co.) proposes a new wall sign of approximately 108 SF to be placed on the north facing building façade. A second sign located on a separate shed building is proposed to be removed. A public hearing on this matter will be held.
  3. Regulatory review of a building permit application in the Amoskeag Millyard Historic Distric: The owner of 250 Commercial Street (Merrimack River Mills, LLC) proposed a secondary accessible entrance, as well as a new canopy and signage to the riverside of the Waumbec Mill. A public hearing on this matter will be held.
  4. Review of Section 106 Application: A proposal located at 718 Smyth Road (VA Medical Center) by AT&T to remove two temporary towers and the installation of antennas onto the existing 160-foot-tall water tank. In addition, an equipment shelter will be installed on the south side of the water tank adjacent to the existing fenced compound.
  5. Old and New Business: a. Annual Election of Officers b. Discuss any new information and/or continue ongoing discussion of business associated with the 1850 Gilman Harvey House at 1 Harvey Road. c. Further discussion regarding the Chandler House preservation. d. Approval of the meeting minutes from November 10th. e. Discuss any other Old and New Business. Adjournment: Without objection, the Chair gavels the meeting to a close.
