STRATHAM, NH – Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast will be giving away a 2007 Dodge Caravan van to a disabled ambulatory veteran.

Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast has partnered with a local family and several local businesses to giveaway a 2007 Dodge Caravan equipped with a Bruno Chair Lift and a Jazzy motorized chair.

Since 2002 Senior Helpers has been a national leader in professional in-home senior assistance services with a reputation for providing the best in dependable, consistent and affordable non-medical senior care services to make sure clients get the help they need to enjoy living independently at home.

Under the “Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit,” the Veterans Administration offers assistance to qualified United States Veterans and their spouses to help pay for long term eldercare services. Senior Helpers understand the needs of  veterans and partner with professional assistance organizations that specialize in helping veterans and their families navigate through the complex application process.

The Van for a Vet Giveaway Rules:

  • Prize: 2007 Dodge Caravan equipped with a Bruno Chair Lift and a Jazzy motorized chair
  • In order to participate, the veteran must be disabled but ambulatory with a valid NH driver’s

    license.

  • Must reside in either Rockingham or Strafford counties. This offer is void to those who live
    outside the stated counties.
  • Must submit a letter or email to Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast explaining why the
    veteran should be the recipient of the van and how the van will increase the veteran’s quality of
    life. The letter must include the following: Name of the veteran, address, telephone number,
    email address, branch of service and dates served, organizations that involved in (For Example:
    DAV, VFW, American Legion. Vietnam Veterans of America, Combat Veterans Motorcycle
    Association, Patriot Riders, etc.)

DisclaimerEmployees of Senior Helpers, members of the family donating the van and a veteran(s) will read the letters and emails to make the award decision. The recipient understands that the van is a used vehicle and once awarded there should be no expectation that the prior owner will contribute any money toward repairs that maybe needed
or that may develop.

Winner must have the funds to properly insure and register the vehicle.

Senior Helpers, the donor of the van, and all other parties involved will not be held liable for financial support beyond the promotion of the giveaway and the donation of the van.

All entries must be received no later than 5:00pm on Friday, September 25, 2015

The van will be awarded on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at the office of  Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast located at 62 Portsmouth Ave Stratham, NH 03885
