MANCHESTER, NH – Due to significant injuries to the New England Liberty roster, Liberty and Legends Football League (LFL) officials have decided to cancel the July 23, 2016 game vs. the Atlanta Steam at Verizon Wireless Arena.

Fans can redeem full refunds for any already purchased tickets through Ticketmaster and/or the Verizon Wireless Arena box office.

League officials called this a “disappointing and unforeseen situation,” noting that this is the only LFL game of the 2016 season that has been canceled.

“The cancellation is primarily for the purpose of protecting the existing base of Liberty athletes as well as making certain we present a great football product moving forward,” officials said in a news release issued on Wednesday.

New England Liberty and Legends Football League officials say they are committed to returning in 2017 to Manchester and Verizon Wireless Arena with a more solid roster and an entire off-season of building relationships in the community.
