MANCHESTER, NH – Jimmy Lehoux has announced his candidacy for Ward 8 Board of School Committee for the upcoming municipal election. That seat is currently held by Erika Conners.

His statement is below:

“I am proud to announce I will be running for the school board in Ward 8. As a product of the public school system and a father of two, who also attend public schools in the Queen City, I believe it’s imperative our children receive the best education possible. We can do this by giving the teachers the proper tools they need for their classes, redistricting for smaller class sizes, and by emphasizing parental involvement. I also want to be a voice for the promotion of trades. This can and should be done within the tax cap. I feel as a school board member, I will bring new and fresh ideas to the board, as well as give an outsider’s point of view.”

Lehoux works as a subcontractor ambassador for Procon Inc. in Hooksett, and is the founding member of the Jimmy Lehoux Band. He has launched a Friends of Jimmy Lehoux Facebook page.
