BEDFORD, NH – Jeremiah Joseph Fitzgibbon, 60, of Bedford, died suddenly on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Jeremiah was born on October 23, 1956, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Thomas and Mary (Stonish) Fitzgibbons.

He was the beloved husband of Helen (White) Fitzgibbon.

Jeremiah received his bachelor’s degree from Alfred University. He was a ceramics engineer, and worked for Gavish, Inc. for 18 years as sales/marketing manager. His passion and enthusiasm for his work, as well as the generosity with which he gave his time and expertise, were deeply appreciated by his colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

While he was an internationally ranked triathlete, Jeremiah was perhaps known even better locally for his enthusiastic support of other competitors and their accomplishments.

Jeremiah was predeceased by his brother, Patrick Fitzgibbons.

In addition to his wife, Jeremiah is survived by his brother Michael and his wife Eileen Fitzgibbons of Orchard Park, NY; his sisters, Cheryl Kuss of Blasdell, NY; Debbie Lovallo of Hamburg, NY, Mary Barone of Warsaw, NY, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and his ever-faithful little buddy, Oscar.

SERVICES: Calling hours at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, N.H., will be on Saturday, April 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. A Celebration of Jeremiah’s life will be held at Bedford Village Inn, 2 Olde Bedford Way, Bedford, on Sunday, April 9, at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH, 03110, or to Special Olympics NH, 650 Elm St., Manchester, NH, 03101.
