Jacqueline Macrigeanis, 81: Nurse who loved the outdoors, worked for CMC and Elliot

MANCHESTER, NH – Jacqueline Alice Macrigeanis, 81, of Manchester, died November 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Manchester on December 19, 1935, she was the daughter of Albert and Maria (Duquette) Gregoire. She was a graduate of Catherine Labore School of Nursing in Dorchester, MA, in 1957. She had received her bachelor’s degree from UNH and a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She had also attended the Enterostomal Therapy Program at the Roswell Park Institute in Buffalo, NY. 
Prior to retirement, she had worked as a registered nurse at the Elliot Hospital. She had also worked previously at the Catholic Medical Center and had her own independent nursing practice. 

She enjoyed many outdoor activities, from skiing to fly fishing. She loved to read, cook, and paint, and greatly enjoyed the company of her family and many friends.

Her husband of 56 years, Socrates N. Macrigeanis, predeceased her in 2016. 

Family members include Nick and Jean Sideris, David and Marie Macrigeanis, Karen & Robert Champlin, Richard Macrigeanis, Christine Macrigeanis, Dimitri Macrigeanis, Diana & Dave Alman, Gina & Sam Wovkanech, George & Rhonda Sideris, John Sideris, Tony and Danielle Duquette, long time friends Donna and Brad Asbury, and many other grand nieces and nephews. 

There are no calling hours. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 2 p.m. in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road.
