MANCHESTER, NH – Our friends at Intown Manchester have mounted a fun and environmentally-friendly challenge for you. Celebrate Earth Day 2015 by doing your part to make Manchester a cleaner place and you may win $50 just for doing the right thing.
Earth Day became an official celebration in 1970, after decades of humanity taking for granted that our earth would always be here for us, no matter how we treated it. All that changed when Earth Day was established, a day to pause and reflect on all the ways we can improve the environment, through neighborhood clean ups and awareness campaigns.
Since then humankind has made great progress, but if you look around, you’ll see that remaining vigilant is the key.
Intown Manchester has already organized Adopt-A-Block, happening April 24, and more than 2oo of you have volunteered to help.
But they’ve just upped the ante and put out the following challenge to everyone to help beautify our city:
Any time between now and Friday, April 24 at 5 p.m., post a photo of you celebrating Earth Day in downtown on Intown Manchester’s Facebook page and automatically be entered to win a $50 gift card.
It’s that simple.
Your good deed can be anything from picking up litter on the street, to recycling your newspaper!
Contest Rules: One entry per household. Photographs must be posted to Intown Manchester Facebook page by 5 p.m, EST on Friday, April 24, 2015. Intown staff will pick their favorite image and will contact the winner via Facebook on Monday, April 27, 2015. The winner will then have until Friday, May 1, 2015 to pick up their prize from the Intown Manchester office at 1000 Elm Street. Prizes will not be mailed. There is no cost to enter the contest. For more information please call 645-6285. Have fun and GOOD LUCK!
