AlphaLoft August meetup.

There is a lot of business incubation going on in Manchester. Exhibit A: The AlphaLoft, a business incubator located at 844 Elm Street.

So, what is the AlphaLoft, really?

Formerly known as the abi HUB, the AlphaLoft is dedicated to accelerating the development of early-stage, scalable businesses, commercializing the intellectual capital developed at UNH and other leading educational institutions, and creating sustainable employment opportunities in the State of New Hampshire.

Entrepreneurs can access affordable workspace, and shared administrative and technological services, in a supportive entrepreneurial environment that stimulates the growth of businesses, ensures economic vitality for the community and encourages job creation. Our mission is to nurture high growth startups and create an environment where entrepreneurs have access to the resources, connections, experience, and capital to support the journey of putting ideas into action.

If you are a small business owner, or in the process of building a business from a big idea, you will want to know about the next AlphaLoft Meet-up Manchester, which is set for Oct. 1 from 12 – 1 p.m. at the Alpha Loft HQ.

According to the AlphaLoft website, meet-ups are “organized by the creative, entrepreneurial folks over at Alpha Loft. “StartUp Alpha Loft Manchester” is where fellow entrepreneurs and “in the know” professionals within the growing New Hampshire startup ecosystem gather once a month to network and offer solutions to real life business issues.  We introduce members, chat about what’s new, present and tackle one or more real life business issues and provide an update on Alpha Loft and other NH happenings. We extend an open invitation to the entrepreneurial, innovative and creative communities of Greater Manchester. Look forward to seeing you there!”

So then, what should you expect if you go?

You’ll find a motivated group of entrepreneurial spirits who arrive in various stages of

starting a business with a variety of needs – from inspiration to tangibles and financial backing. Beyond that, expect to find fellowship and hope in the urge to start something from virtually nothing more than a big idea and some know how.
