Inmate on the lam for 9 days arrested in Manchester, returned to state prison

MANCHESTER, NH – Inmate Christopher William Plaisted-Comeau was arrested by the Manchester Police Department at approximately 1:30 p.m, Monday, March 13, 2017, according to the NH Department of Corrections. He had been placed on walk-away status nine days earlier.

Plaisted-Comeau was returned to the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord at approximately 8:30 p.m. Monday night. He was reported missing from the Calumet House in Manchester on March 5 after leaving the halfway house for a work program, but failing to arrive for work.

Plaisted-Comeau was serving a 2-to-4 year sentence from Grafton County Superior Court for reckless conduct.  He received 26 days of time served credited to his minimum.  He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on February 10, 2014 and was eligible for parole on December 8, 2016.  He had not yet been approved for parole.  His maximum release date had been February 6, 2019.
