CONCORD, NH – A minimum security inmate missing from the Corrections Transitional Work Center in Concord since July 3 was returned to custody July 15, according to prison officia.s.
Stephen Paul Roy, 27, last known address of Dover, was reported missing from the work center as of 5:50 p.m. following a routine head count by guards on July 3. The unit was locked down and a thorough search was conducted and he was placed on escape status at about 6:20 p.m. that night.
Officials reported he had been returned to the prison on July 15. No other details about his return were provided.
Roy was sentenced in Strafford County Superior Court for robbery and received a 3 to 10 year prison sentence with 294 days of time served credited to his sentence. He was admitted to the NH State Prison on November 5, 2013 and was eligible for parole on January 14, 2016. His maximum release date is January 16, 2023.
