MANCHESTER, NH — New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief Enoch F. Willard announce that the Manchester Police Department is currently investigating the untimely death of a 3-week old infant.

On October 30, 2015, officers were called to Apartment 5 at 341 Kimball Street in Manchester to check on the residents of the apartment. Upon arrival, officers discovered 3-week-old Eleoaine Sanchez dead inside a bedroom inside her mother’s apartment. Eleoaine Sanchez had been living at the apartment with her mother, Stephanie Camelo, 30, since she came home from the hospital following her birth.

Investigators believe that neighbors inside 341 Kimball St., and in nearby buildings, may have relevant information about their observations of Apartment 5’s residents during the months of October – November of 2015.

“This announcement was made after an initial investigation and testing were completed.  At this point, it is undetermined whether there were or were not any criminal actions regarding Eleoaine Sanchez’s death,” said NH Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati..  “The announcement is made in hopes of discovering any unknown neighbor or nearby resident who may have some knowledge about Eleoaine, or the apartment where she resided.”

Anyone who has any information relevant to this investigation is asked to contact the Juvenile Investigative Unit at the Manchester Police Department at (603) 668-8711. Citizens may also anonymously contact the Manchester Crimeline at (603) 624-4040 or leave a tip on their website at www.manchestercrimeline.org.
