MANCHESTER, NHManchester Community Music School is excited to announce the line up for this year’s Gala – Dancing with the Stars: Senior Prom! The competition takes place on March 19, 2015, 5:45 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. This year’s event is sure to please with our stars dancing to music from the year of their senior prom.

These local business leaders will put on their dancing shoes to help raise money for MCMS’ tuition aid fund and music education programs. Stars competing for the coveted mirror ball trophy and endless bragging rights are:

These stars are paired with professional dancers from Royal Palace Dance Studio in Manchester.

The evening features fabulous hors d’oeuvres, a live auction and paddle raise, and our Dancing with the Stars Competition featuring our award winning NH Youth Jazz Ensemble conducted by Carl Benevides. Audience members get to vote for their favorite dancer!

Special guest judges for the evening are Joe Reilly, NH Regional President of Eastern Bank; Katie McQuaid Cote of the Union Leader’s “Katie McQuaid’s Scene in Manchester;” and Cathy Schmidt, Executive Director and CEO of The McLane Law Firm, and last year’s champion.

Tickets are $75 for general admission or $125 VIP, and can be purchased online via this link,  or by calling 603-644-4548. This is the Music School’s largest fundraiser and proceeds for the evening support our Tuition Aid Fund and music education programs.

Every year at MCMS over 1,300 students of all ages join us to learn from 50 of the best music faculty in the Northeast. Whether they participate in one-on-one or group music lessons, early childhood programs, ensembles, music therapy or music technology, our offerings provide our students opportunities to learn and grow as musicians and citizens. Events like this make it all possible!
