MANCHESTER, NH – Luis Sanchez, 39, of 175 Morgan St., #2, was arrested Sept. 22 following a high-speed chase that resulted in a crash, and then a foot chase.

On September 22 at approximately 12:40 a.m., Officer Ryan Hardy’s attention was drawn to a vehicle operating erratically in the area of McGregor Square. The driver was later identified as Sanchez.

According to police, Sanchez continued east on the Bridge Street Bridge, allegedly exceeding the speed limit. Officer Hardy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed in order to elude Officer Hardy.

The vehicle eventually crashed into a street sign in front of 482 Bartlett St. Sanchez fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. New Hampshire State Police Trooper Mike Cedrone and his police dog partner assisted with the search and apprehension.

Sanchez was scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit District Manchester to answer to the charges of reckless conduct; resisting arrest; conduct after an accident; disobeying a police officer; operating with a suspended license; and misuse of plates.
