In addition to their football victory, here are some more updates from Saint Anselm college sports.

Women’s Volleyball

Saint Anselm took two victories on Saturday, winning in four sets against Roberts Wesleyan and five sets against Daemen.

Senior Catie McCarthy reached her 1,000th career kill during the weekend, posting 23 kills overall in the two contests.

Junio Elise Jolly (Merrimack, N.H.) had 26 combined kills and freshman Michelle Henwood (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) had 37 assists in the Daemen contest alone.

The Hawks are now 14-7 and 4-1 in the Northeast-10, they will return to action on Tuesday Oct. 22 against Stonehill.

Men’s Soccer

An overtime goal from junior Blaise Haba (West Haven, Conn.) was the only difference in a 1-0 loss to Southern Connecticut State on Saturday.

Saint Anselm freshman Brian Underhill (Westford, Mass.) saved the ten other shots that went on net.

The Hawks (6-6-0, 2-6-0 NE-10) are back on the road again as they travel to Le Moyne on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for a 3 p.m. matchup.

Women’s Soccer

Senior Sophie Smith (Kingston, N.H.) had the only goal as Saint Anselm defeated Pace 1-0 on Saturday.

The goal was the first goal of Smith’s college career and one of only seven shots on goal by both teams.

Saint Anselm (7-2-4, 4-2-3 NE-10) hosts Southern Connecticut State on Saturday, Oct. 26 with a 2 p.m. match start.
