A guest retrieving her forgotten sweater threatened by machete-wielding host

MANCHESTER, NH — A woman who left her sweater behind after a gathering at a Beech Street apartment reported the host to police, after he threatened her and some friends with a machete when they returned for the sweater.

According to police, on January 11, 2015 at about 1 a.m. Manchester Police were called to 336 Beech St. A woman reported to police that earlier in the evening she was invited to that residence to hang out with friends. During the evening there was a verbal and physical altercation between people within the group over a missing bag of ice.

The host of the gathering, identified as Reginald Paul Roc, 30, of 336 Beech St., told everyone to leave his apartment. The woman later realized that she had left her sweater inside the apartment. When she returned to the apartment with the group, Paul Roc confronted the group inside of the apartment. Paul Roc approached the group waiving a machete over his head, yelling at everyone to get out. The group ran out of the apartment and contacted the police. Paul Roc was arrested and charged with felony criminal threatening and simple assault.
