CONCORD, NH – Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Jilletta Jarvis is organizing a nonpartisan rally at the NH State House to raise awareness around the issues of child safety in a state where each year, Jarvis says, “the Division of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) receives more than 20,000 reports of suspected child abuse and neglect as well as reports of Children in Need of Services.”
The Save Our Children Rally is set for Aug. 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the NH State House, 107 North Main St., Concord.
Donations will be accepted to support the Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) – a volunteer organization that supports children in danger by escorting them to court and parole hearings as well as to school or guard them at home when needed. Donations will be accepted via EventBrite or at the rally.
The rally will include parents and those who were children in the system affected by the DCYF and Family Court decisions. Speakers will highlight the need for reform.
While this is a rally regarding family needs, speakers may be discussing examples of abuse so please use your discretion in bringing children to this event as the topic may be sensitive to some audiences.
