MANCHESTER, NH –Hanover Street welcomes a new addition for restaurant goers with the arrival of Tom Puskarich’s Restoration Café, which welcomes visitors to a grand opening event on Saturday, April 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Flats, 235 Hanover Street, Manchester.
The open house will feature samples from the café’s mix of health- and comfort-inspired menu items, cold-pressed juices and all-natural ingredient smoothies. Also on hand will be nitro-infused coffee demonstrations by Millyard Coffee, craft cocktail samples from Djinn Spirits and live music from Susan Goyette, performed on the outdoor patio.
Located on the ground floor of The Flats @ Hanover Commons — home to Elm Grove Companies’ micro living apartments and several local businesses — the décor of the café is a blend of modern and antique apothecary design. Customers can dine in or take out, enjoy lunch at a high-top table, savor coffee in the lounge or relax over brunch with a cocktail in the courtyard.
“Our goal in designing the mini-flat apartments was to create innovative housing to meet the needs of the modern professional,” said Elm Grove Companies COO, Chris Schleyer. “We also wanted a café that would align with that goal. With Tom’s creativity, innovation and passion for food, he was our one and only choice.”
Clean Food for Real People
Puskarich’s new venture was inspired by a question he’d been asked throughout his restaurant career: How do you eat at home? His answer: Restoration Café.
“I have always enjoyed surprising and delighting my customers. This menu comes from my heart and offers the fresh blend of options I enjoy eating and drinking,” said Puskarich. “Food trends come and go, but health and comfort never go out of style. Every item on the menu has been part of my personal recipe rotation at home. No pretense —just clean food for real people.”
One can see this in the menu where a healthy acai bowl sits right next to the decadent Pressed Tuna and Egg Sandwich (rapidly becoming a crowd favorite). Fresh salads also go to the heart of Puskarich’s vision of fresh, healthy, and creative food as seen with the protein packed Chicken and Egg Quinoa Bowl.
With a full liquor license, Puskarich is bringing an innovative approach to his beverage program. The café will only feature beer and spirits made in New Hampshire, including Djinn gin and Abel Ebeneezer beer. Signature cocktails will be mixed using fresh cold-pressed juices and other handcrafted mixers made on site.
Restoration Café currently serves breakfast and lunch, Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and starting April 1, brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Puskarich will be adding an evening tapas and lite dinner menu starting May 1.
