The team won both games of the championship series to defeat New England Document Systems 8-3 and 9-3.
Maddy Infantine was presented the MVP trophy with a commanding presence on the mound. She had two hits and a double with a spectacular catch in center field.
The team’s offense was boosted by four hits from Katelyn McCoy; three hits from Yesenia Lopez; two hits each from Brianna DeVarney, Hailey Mitchell, Ashley Godzyk, Destiny Lopez and; one hit apiece Emiley DeVarney, Ashlyn Labrecque, Skylar Rowell, Sydney Devine, Morgan Sorraco and Savanah Diaz-Jones.
About the Manchester Girls Softball League
The Manchester Girls Softball League has been providing an opportunity for girls ages 4-18 to play recreational softball for 40 years. All games are played at Padden Field Softball complex located off of Bridge Street Extension. The complex is one of the best in the city, with two lighted softball fields, outfield fences, dugouts, scoreboards, a concession stand and three parking areas. The MGSL, founded in 1974, provides recreational softball for girls in Manchester, NH, and surrounding towns. There are more than 200 girls on 22 teams in 5 divisions.
