Founded by Mike and Mark Grondahl, and later turned over to Chris Rondeau, Planet Fitness is headquartered in Newington. It grew out of the idea for a gym membership model that was affordable and fit the lifestyle of people who wanted  something more fun, friendly and “judgement free.”
