MANCHESTER, NH – George E. Lacourse Sr., 70, of Davenport, FL, died February 22, 2017 in Tampa, FL after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Manchester on October 21, 1946 to Joseph and Irene (Vigneault) Lacourse. He lived his life in Manchester, Raleigh, NC and Davenport, FL.
George was a licensed barber for many years and had also owned several businesses including Aqua Dynamics in Manchester. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
The family includes his wife of 25 years, Carol (Polichronopoulos) Lacourse of Davenport, FL; three children, George E. Lacourse, Jr. and Marcel Lacourse both of Texas; and Lynne Marie Stakelum of Florida; a granddaughter, Crystal Miller and a great grandson, Brynn Eli Reaser both of Florida; six brothers, Dennis Lacourse of Florida, Richard Lacourse of Auburn, Robert Lacourse of Arizona and Joseph Lacourse, Donald Lacourse and Brian Lacourse all of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral, 439 Pine St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
