MANCHESTER, NH – Mayor Ted Gatsas will be on the ballot in September for the mayoral primary. Although he has already announced his intentions, Monday it became official when Gatsas filed his paperwork with the city clerk’s office.

Gatsas released the following statement Monday evening, along with two photos:

Today, joined by my wife Cassandra, I officially filed my nomination papers to run for Mayor of Manchester.

Since first being elected I am proud of all that we have accomplished to build a better Manchester.

We have worked hard to improve education here in Manchester; we have improved public safety for our citizens; we have maintained a vibrant local economy and we continue to invest in city infrastructure.

I am running for re-election because I want to build on our record of success and continue to find solutions to the issues that lie before us.

It’s an honor to serve as Mayor of the Queen City and I ask for your support on Tuesday, September 15th.

Gatsas has also launched a “Talk with Ted Tour” to circulate around the city and meet with constituents. You can check the schedule here.

Also filing for the September mayoral primary on Monday were Joyce Craig, Patrick Arnold and Jawed Alibaba Sheikh. Glenn Ouellette has announced his intention to file, and expects to make it official sometime next week.
