Open Letter to the Taxpayers of Manchester

For the many months since we have been running this campaign, and throughout my tenure as Mayor,  it has been my honor to travel this city and talk with you about the issues and your concerns.

You have shared with me what you love about Manchester and ways that you think we can improve.  I have listened, we have talked and I have answered questions about public safety, economic development, roads, infrastructure and education.  Throughout this campaign you have heard me talk an awful lot about taxes, because no matter the issue it always comes back to taxes at the conclusion of our conversation.

You are concerned about how the decisions made at City Hall will affect your bottom line and you have every reason to be.  I share your concern and I carry the weight of it with me in every decision I make.  I have always, and will always, put the taxpayers first regardless of political pressure.

By putting taxpayers first we have achieved great things: economic development is thriving, public safety is a priority, we have created new public private partnerships in our schools for our students and we are addressing the heroin epidemic head on and emerging a leader on solutions.

It’s an honor to stand with the taxpayers of this extraordinary city and no matter what I will always fight for you.

Tomorrow is Election Day in Manchester and I ask for your vote so we can continue to achieve great things.

With Warm Regards

Mayor Ted Gatsas
