MANCHESTER, NH – Fulcrum Associates, a leading construction management firm in southern New Hampshire, seeks to raise $12,000 through its second annual Fulcrum Charity Golf Classic to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank. Sponsorship and player registration is now open for the event, which will take place at 10 a.m. on September 10 at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford. All proceeds from the scramble format tournament will be donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank, which provides nutritious food to the thousands of people in New Hampshire who are food insecure.
“Fulcrum is very much looking forward to once again gathering like-minded professionals in the industry for an afternoon of friendly competition in the name of supporting important, local causes,” said Jeff Luter, President of Fulcrum. “We selected the New Hampshire Food Bank as the recipient for the simple fact that at 50-cents per meal, any size donation we can provide will have a far-reaching impact.”
Fulcrum’s fundraising goal is to meet or exceed the donation from its inaugural event last year of $12,000, the equivalent of 24,000 meals.
“A staggering one-in-nine people in New Hampshire are food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from, and 11-percent of those people are children,” said Eileen Liponis, executive director of the New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire. “The demand in New Hampshire is still growing, and we have so much gratitude for the generous businesses and individuals who sign up to participate in this event.”

“We thank the 128 participants who kicked off this tradition with us last year, and encourage any organization with a passion for New Hampshire’s non-profit community to register for an afternoon on the best course in the region to help increase the impact of our upcoming donation,” said Luter.
The Fulcrum Charity Golf Classic begins with a networking and welcome hour at 10:00 AM, followed by lunch and an official start on the green at 12:30 PM. In addition to playing 18 holes, participants will have the opportunity to win prizes through a number of contests and raffles throughout the day. Dinner will be provided to all registered participants after golf, and the winning team will be presented Orange Winners Jackets.
