MANCHESTER, NH – After mounting pressure, “Fugitive of the Week,” Brian Rodriguez, 27, surrendered Monday to the Manchester Police Department.
Rodriguez was wanted on an outstanding Hillsborough County arrest warrant for failure to appear on charges of stalking, assault and criminal mischief.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office had requested the assistance of the NH Joint Fugitive Task Force in locating and arresting Rodriguez. Today, members of the task force from several agencies including; Belknap, Rockingham, Strafford & Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Offices, the Greenfield Police Department, along with deputy US Marshals, made a concentrated effort in Manchester to locate Mr. Rodriguez. It was based on this pressure that Rodriguez made his decision to surrender this afternoon at the Manchester Police Department.
Rodriguez was processed by the Manchester Police Department and later transported to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he will be held pending his court hearing regarding his failure to appear.
Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,216 arrests (Updated as of 12/24/2015). These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
