Fugitive wanted for Laconia stand-off arrested at Mall of NH

MANCHESTER, NH – Detectives from the Special Enforcement Division received information about a man wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s service who was in the Mall of New Hampshire on November 3, approximately 3:40 p.m. The detectives were familiar with the wanted man, Robert Audette, 26, of Hooksett, New Hampshire.

Audette had active arrest warrants for felony criminal threatening  and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Both charges were active through Laconia Police Department. Detectives approached Audette as he walked toward Best Buy and made contact with him. They confirmed his identity and arrested him without incident.

He was transported to police headquarters and a search incident to arrest revealed he was in possession of approximately two grams of heroin. He was charged with possession of a narcotic drug (heroin) and appeared in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on November 4, 2015. He was released on $1,500 cash/surety bail and is scheduled to reappear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on November 16, 2015 for a Probable Cause hearing.

According to the U.S. Marshal’s service,  Audette is wanted in Laconia in connection with an armed stand-off  on October 28. It was eventually learned that Audette had fled the scene. Based on the investigation conducted by the Laconia Police Department, an arrest warrant for Audette was issued for his arrest.
