Scalia Ginsburg

The New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) at Saint Anselm College will hold four events in October:

  • Sunday, October 14, 2 p.m.: New Hampshire’s professional opera company, Opera North, performs Scalia/Ginsburg, a one-act, comic opera inspired by the unlikely friendship of U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia. Scalia/Ginsburg explores what would happen if these two ideologically opposed judges had to appear before a Higher Power. A talk-back with the cast immediately follows the show. Get Tickets
  • Wednesday, October 17, 6 p.m. at Jenn Student Center Auditorium: Helon Habila will explore the dynamics of religious and ethnic conflict in Nigeria, providing an insider perspective on Nigerian culture and politics. Habila is an award-winning novelist, journalist, poet, and professor at George Mason University; his most recent book is a non-fiction study of the terrorist attack that resulted in the abduction of 276 schoolgirls in northern Nigeria.
