MANCHESTER, NH – Friday is the new Thursday… or at least for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats – and fans – it is.

Fisher Cats Opening Day has been postponed to Friday, April 7 due to inclement weather. The first pitch of the 2017 season is now scheduled for Friday at 6:35 p.m. at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, as the Fisher Cats (AA – Blue Jays) host the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (AA – Mets).

Friday’s game will give fans their first chance to experience the stadium’s spectacular new renovations, featuring a tiki bar, plaza, tiered seating pavilion and live music stage. Local band Slow Coyote will perform before and after the game.

Friday night’s festivities will feature the first Atlas Fireworks show of the season, and the first 2,500 fans will receive a free Fisher Cats magnet schedule, courtesy of Energy North Propane.

Thursday’s postponed game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, May 5 — WMUR’s Play Ball for CHaD Night — with two seven-inning games starting at 5:35 p.m.

Fans with tickets to Thursday’s game can exchange them at the box office for any other Fisher Cats regular season home game in 2017, based on availability. For more information, call 603-641-2005. The most up-to-date game information can be found on the team’s website, nhfishercats.com.

Come on out to celebrate baseball’s return and experience all the ballpark upgrades, then stick around after the game for Atlas Fireworks!
