AUBURN, NH — According to the Children’s Scholarship Fund, by the fourth grade, 80 percent of low-income children are not proficient readers. Helping to make a local difference is Freedom Energy Logistics, a leader in energy management services. Believing in education equality the company made a meaningful donation of $25,000 to Children’s Scholarship Fund New Hampshire (photo of check presentation attached).
Led by Kate Baker, Children’s Scholarship Fund NH provides K-12 scholarships to empower low-income families to choose the schools that best fit their children’s educational needs. “Freedom’s continual support, and assistance through consecutive annual financial donations, has made a significant impact on our local children who, without these educational opportunities, are further disadvantaged,” said Baker. “Freedom Energy Logistics in addition to their financial support offers us their strategic direction with their input on our Advisory Board. We are grateful for their support, guidance, and commitment to education equality.”
“The mission of the Children’s Scholarship Fund is to make the opportunity of ‘education’ a level playing field,” said Bart Fromuth, COO, Freedom Energy Logistics. “We hope with our contribution, more New Hampshire children will engage in learning opportunities that may not have been available to them because of family income.”
According to the Children’s Scholarship Fund NH, more than 310 students were assisted through scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year, of which Freedom contributed to as well.
