Proper car seat safety is vital to the health and wellness of young children.

Residents can recycle their old child safety car seats and receive a new free car seat (quantities limited to about 30, according to Manchester Police). The event takes place at Quirk Kia, 1300 South Porter St., between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Inspections are by appointment only.

The program is approved by the NH Child Passenger Safety Program, part of the Injury Prevention Center at CHaD.

To reserve your safety seat inspection appointment, contact Officer Mark Aquino, 603-792-5447.
