The New Hampshire Fisher Cats only have one winning streak so far in 2017, and it looks like they’ll have to wait for the second one.

New Hampshire fell at the hands of the Altoona Curve at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Sunday afternoon, 6-4.

Like Saturday’s contest, Altoona got on the board first thanks to a pair of runs in that saw seven men come to the plate.

Unlike Saturday’s contest, New Hampshire was unable to get that lead back.

The Fisher Cats would bring it back within a run twice, first with a homer from Anthony Alford in the third and again with a sac fly RBI from Tim Lopes in the fifth. But that’s as close as they’d get.

Pablo Reyes got his second RBI of the day for Altoona on a double in the fourth and the Curve would respond again with two runs in the fifth and another in the sixth.

Harold Ramirez brought home Richard Urena in the top of the seventh, but New Hampshire couldn’t continue the rally.

The Fisher Cats could only muster one hit after that, but they were only able to get six all day. A committee of four Altoona pitchers splitting duties on the mound after starter Brandon Waddell left after three innings.

Miguel Rosario (2-1) got the win after pitching the fifth and sixth, Tate Scioneaux earned his second save of the year.

Shane Dawson (1-5) went five innings while earning the loss, giving up eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Justin Shafer allowed Altoona’s other two hits, Tim Mayza and Chris Rowley combined to allow just seven Altoona batters over the final two innings of the contest.

Urena had New Hampshire’s only multi-hit performance, going 2-for-5 with a double. Reyes and Chris Diaz had three hits apiece for Altoona and Jordan Luplow contributed a pair of hits for the Curve.

New Hampshire (12-24) remains at the bottom of the Eastern League as they return to Manchester on Tuesday to meet the Trenton Thunder.

Yelfy Ramriez (4-0, 3.38 ERA) will take the mound for Trenton, no starter has been named as of yet for New Hampshire. However, Sean Reid-Foley (2-3, 6.30 ERA) is next up in New Hampshire’s rotation.

First pitch on Tuesday is set for 6:35.
