MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, in affiliation with Outdoor Pride, CP Management, SMC Management and Southern New Hampshire University, invite the community to join in a cleanup effort along the Merrimack River on Thursday, May 17.

Trash pickup and graffiti removal will take place from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. along the Riverwalk along the river, stretching from the Nylon Corporation just south of the Queen City Bridge all the way up to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, home of the Fisher Cats.

“It’s fantastic to see the participation of businesses within Manchester that emphasize a high regard of corporate and social responsibility when it comes to the community and environment,” said Mark J. Aquilino, President of Outdoor Pride Landscape and Snow Management. “I’m glad to see events like this come together purely from like-minded businesses and individuals that share a passion for making an impact on the Greater Manchester Area.”

Celebrating their 15th year, the event marks the latest in a long line of community-related efforts spearheaded by the Fisher Cats.

“Manchester is such a beautiful city, and as leaders in this community it’s our responsibility to help keep it that way,” said Fisher Cats President Mike Ramshaw. “We’re proud to be a part of this project, and I look forward to seeing a great turnout of other volunteers on Thursday.”

Volunteers are encouraged to join by calling (603) 722-2765 or e-mailing leasing@residencesatsundial.com.

Following the cleanup, the Fisher Cats will start a weekend homestand with Tim Tebow and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets) on Thursday night at 6:35 p.m. at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Tickets and information are available at NHFisherCats.com.
