MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Altoona Curve won’t have a win in the state of New Hampshire this year, leaving Manchester with a 7-2 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Wednesday morning.

Kevin Smith’s three-RBI triple in the third ultimately provided the hosts all they’d need, but the Fisher Cats weren’t done. Alberto Mineo added a two-run homer in the fifth, and Vinny Capra drove in another two runs with his double in the sixth.

Patrick Murphy (3-4) got the win for New Hampshire, giving up just one run over his six innings of work, striking out seven for New Hampshire. Tyler Saucedo and Jake Fishman gave up the other run in relief, an RBI double for Jerrick Suiter, his second RBI of the day.

The loss went to Scooter Hightower (2-5), who allowed seven hits and two walks in his five-inning appearance.

Forrest Wall led the way for New Hampshire at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, while Christian Williams also added a pair of hits in the victory.

New Hampshire now welcomes the Hartford Yard Goats for a four-game set at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Game One on Thursday is scheduled to start at 6:35 p.m.
