MANCHESTER, NH –  For those who are interested in serving your community on a local level, the municipal filing period Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted when the filing period opens at 8 a.m. on July 10, 2017 through 5 p.m. on July 21, 2017.  There is no better way to make a difference in your local government than serving in any one of a variety of elected positions from mayor or alderman to ward moderator, ward clerk, or selectman.  For more information on filing for office, see our How to File for Office page.

The next local scheduled election will be a special state general election on July 25, 2017 in District 16 (wards 1, 2, & 12) to fill the vacancy in the office of state senate.  The election will be held between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. in wards 1, 2, & 12 only.

The primary election is Sept. 19, 2017, and the November municipal election is scheduled for Nov. 7, 2017.

Absentee Ballot applications for the upcoming elections can be printed using the link below and completed in the convenience of your home.  As a registered Manchester voter, you may mail, e-mail (cityclerk@manchesternh.gov), fax, or hand deliver your completed application to the Office of the City Clerk, One City Hall Plaza, Manchester, NH  03101
