CONCORD, NH – With the help of legendary Boston Red So slugger David Ortiz, the New Hampshire Lottery launched the $5 Boston Red Sox 2018 World Series Championship Scratch Ticket on Wednesday at the New Hampshire State House.

Ortiz took part in the event with New Hampshire Lottery Executive Director Charlie McIntyre, along with the Boston Red Sox team mascots, Wally the Green Monster and Tessie the Green Monster. The $5 Boston Red So 2018 World Series Championship Scratch Ticket features four $100,000 top prizes and second-chance drawings featuring multiple Boston Red Sox ticket packages.

“I’m excited to help introduce the New Hampshire Lottery’s Boston Red Sox™ 2018 World Series Championship™ scratch ticket,” said David Ortiz, the 2013 World Series MVP. “This game has four chances to win a $100,000 top prize. I’m so pleased to be able to support my friends at the New Hampshire Lottery, which has generated more than $2 billion for education in New Hampshire.”

The new scratch tickets are available now and offer four $100,000 top prizes, along with dozens of opportunities to win $1,000.

Following the ticket launch event at the State House, Ortiz played KENO 603 at a series of Manchester establishments, including Billy’s Sports Bar, Yee Dynasty and Backyard Brewery. Ortiz visited the local businesses to generate awareness and interest in KENO 603, sales of which provide critical funding specifically for full-day kindergarten.

“Along with helping us launch the new scratch ticket game, we were pleased to have David come meet our players and to try his hand at KENO 603,” said McIntyre. “He certainly knows a thing or two about winning!”

To help celebrate the new Red Sox scratch ticket game, an independent panel at the New Hampshire Lottery selected nine youth baseball and softball players from throughout New Hampshire to take part in the ticket launch event and to meet David Ortiz. In selecting players, the New Hampshire Lottery solicited nominations from coaches across the state, inviting them to nominate players with a positive attitude, exceptional work ethic, leadership traits and a team-first approach.
