All three New Hampshire runs came on solo home runs, Bo Bichette’s in the first, Connor Panas’ in the third and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s in the sixth.

Guerrero’s blast was his second in as many days, with Bichette also later contributing a double to the cause.

Hartford’s only run came in the third, the only blemish on a solid five-inning six-strikeout starting appearance from Jordan Romano.

With the win, Romano climbs to 10-4, taking the Eastern League lead in wins. He’s also now just six strikeouts behind league leader Taylor Ahern of Altoona.

Justin Bergen earned his sixth save of the year in the win while Rico Garcia fell to 1-3 in the loss.

On Saturday, Hartford’s Frank Duncan (2-4, 4.56 ERA) takes the mound at 6:05 p.m. against New Hampshire’s Josh DeGraaf (3-5, 5.12 ERA).
