Everything you need to know (like where not to park) for 2019 Taco Tour

MANCHESTER, NH — It’s taco time in the Queen City, as the new and improved Intown Taco Tour rolls out at 4 p.m. Thursday.

According to the Weather Underground, rain is supposed to lift around 1 p.m., and the outlook for Taco Tour is cloudy and chilly, so make sure you dress for the weather.

Below is everything you need to know, courtesy of our friends at Intown Manchester, who have organized this year’s event.

VOTE!

First and foremost, DON’T FORGET TO VOTE ONLINE FOR YOUR FAVORITE TACO! Here’s the link to Intown Manchester’s online voting form, located on their home page. Make sure you let them know that you heard about it on ManchesterInkLink in the “other” field! 

  • Please bring CASH to pay for your $2 tacos to keep it easy for everyone involved
  • Consider taking Uber, Lyft of a cab to the taco tour and avoid parking problems.

Elm Street will be CLOSED starting at 3 p.m. Thursday, between Central Street and Bridge Street.  Hanover and Lowell streets will be closed from Chestnut to Elm.

  • If you normally park anywhere within the street closure, please be sure to move your car by 3 p.m. or you will be parked there until the Taco Tour ends at 9 p.m.

  • There is ample parking around Manchester, please have a plan in place so you know how to get where you would like to go without hitting Elm Street.
  • Use the map at the top of the story to plan your evening.

Please DO NOT park at the Hilton Garden Inn (by Fisher Cats Stadium), or you will be towed at your own expense. 

There is a trolley this year so you don’t have to walk or drive to Taco locations that are located off Elm Street. Trolley stops are as follows:

  • The Farm Bar & Grille
  • Chestnut Street and Lowell Street
  • Chestnut Street and Hanover Street
  • Granite Street and Elm Street
  • Studio 550 (550 Elm Street)
  • The Fishercats Taco Tourist Location at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium and Hilton Garden Inn

  • Stark Brewing Company/Arms Park
