Autism Workshop: Making Sense of Your Students’ Sensory Needs

March 22 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Join Birchtree’s Occupational Therapist for a 1.5-hour workshop offering strategies for meeting the sensory needs of students with special needs such as autism. You’ll learn about the sensory processing challenges that many students with autism face. The presentation will also include time for questions and discussion.

The workshop is open to all–including educators, parents, and guardians–but the workshop is designed to be especially useful to para-educators and others who work one-on-one or in small groups with individuals with autism in school and childcare settings. Certificates of attendance are provided.

Parents, guardians, and caregivers who attend this workshop are also encouraged to attend the Autism Q&A on April 12 to get practical suggestions on how to develop their child’s sensory diet based on their child’s sensory needs.
