MANCHESTER, NH – Elinor (Grant) Jolicoeur, 87, of Manchester, passed away unexpectedly March 7, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

She was born in Hillsboro on January 14, 1930 to Maurice and Lillian (Brown) Grant. She graduated from Central High School in 1948.

She married Roland Jolicoeur on July 30, 1949 and went on to have five children, Gary Jolicoeur, JoAnn Frazier, Debra Jolicoeur, Karen Jolicoeur and Beth Jolicoeur. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Elinor had served as the president of the Manchester Junior Womens Club. With no previous business experience, she began The Alternative Choice, a ladies consignment boutique and turned it into a thriving business at a time when others would be retiring. She was very proud of this.

She lived her life with class, grace and strength. She moved on from disappointments that came her way and made a life for herself. She was proud of her children and will be greatly missed by them. “We love you Mom.”

There are no services planned at this time. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
