MANCHESTER, NH – Another big day at the City Clerk’s office, with 21 new candidates added to the mix. Friday is the deadline for filing – if you’ve been waiting in the wings to make your move, the time is now.

Opportunity in Ward 5 to challenge incumbent Alderman Tony Sapienza, who at this moment is the only alderman running unopposed.

Highlights reel: A fourth mayoral candidate has entered the fray – Glenn RJ. Ouellette is tossing his chapeau into the mayoral ring again; Ward 1 incumbent Alderman Kevin Cavanaugh, who’s also running for State Senate, is going for the gusto again; two more candidates in Ward 2 for Alderman – Thomas Svoleantopoulos and Robert Gerard O’Sullivan; Kathy Staub wants her Board of School Committee seat back from Lisa Freeman in Ward 5; Peter Macone is joining the race for Ward 6 Alderman; and Connie Van Houten is running, so far unopposed, to retain her seat at the Board of School Committee table.

There’s still time to get in on the race:
