MANCHESTER, NH — An excited crowd packed the yoga room at Humble Warrior Yoga on Wednesday evening as Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig joined eight local businesswomen to cut the ribbon on their new space at 155 Dow Street, suite 102 in Manchester.

The brainchild of 155 Collective Salon & Spa owner April Arnold, the shared space enjoys a mix of women-owned businesses focused on beauty and fitness.

Arnold says “We wanted to create a space that really gravitated towards health, wellness, and beauty from the inside out.”

And it all started with a text:

You want to meet for coffee?”

Talitha Franggos, co-owner of Humble Warrior Yoga, says “It was a much smaller vision when we first started chatting.”

It was just an idea, nothing concrete, but that first conversation over coffee led to a collaboration between Arnold, Franggos and her business partner Genvieve Hoellrich that exceeded anything they ever imagined.

The original idea was to find a way to meet the needs of busy women by combining a hair salon and yoga studio under one roof, but the idea snowballed once they moved into the rambling mill space and a year later, two businesses became eight.

The trio annexed some space next door and created five independent suites where companies providing complementary services could hang their shingle under a collective umbrella.

These industrious entrepreneurs understand that today’s women don’t always have the option of completely stepping away from the grind of the day and have put together a variety of beauty and wellness services that suit almost every need and schedule.

In addition to the skincare and spa services offered by the suite holders, the 155 Collective Salon & Spa boasts a full salon including a docking station, so busy businesswomen can connect and work while they are having their hair done.

Not to be left behind, Humble Warrior Yoga offers morning, afternoon, and evening yoga classes and workshops as well as HIIT and other trendy fitness programs on weekdays and weekends.

Arnold says “You can come in and take a yoga class and also get your hair done after your yoga session and maybe micro-blading with Sharon Chase at Brow Nirvana Microblading.”

In the space of twelve short months Arnold, Hoellerich, and Franggos have put together a dream team and brought a little bit of luxury to the old millyard. Not too bad for an idea that started with a text and a cup of coffee.
